This is my personal blog, started in the fall of 2007 when I took off on a bike trip down the west coast of North America. That was back when I (arguably) had interesting things to say and worthwhile photos to post. Now that I am not doing anything remotely interesting with my life I am not exactly sure what the purpose of this blog will be beyond wowing you with my extensive vocabulary and incredible whit.

Perhaps it is easiest to state what this site is not to be used for, because really, all else goes. It is not to be used by potential employers creeping on my online profile in order to determine whether I am a suitable candidate (I am and you should hire me) nor any other form of sizing up, especially in comparison to Enid, the blogiest of bloggers. Otherwise, it is no holds barred. So, unleash your politically incorrect comments laden with sexual reference and offensive language. I will do the same. Consider this fair warning and an advanced apology to anyone I might offend.

Celebrating Results

There was much celebration in Vancouver last night, Leigh G graduating from UBC, Robin Havelaar turning 25, and G Max turning 28. J Havelaar's call to the bar was also on the agenda, but sadly he couldn't make it - something to do with his uncle. In any case, as is becoming routine for big celebrations among our friends, a keg was tapped and the merriment flowed.

As well as being a night of celebration, it was also a night of competition. While the much talked about Brown - Havelaar Dance Off never truly came to be, due to a lack of Havelaars in attendance, I think it is safe to say that Graeme Brown won hands down. That boy can dance!

In keg standing, Rachel Harrison, a reluctant competitor, guzzled her way to a first place finish.


And Leigh G, proving once again that the G stands for genius, took the cake in the chocolate replica category, creating this masterpiece of Robin and Graeme's best friend.

My comment is a 3-part comment.
Firstly, could Leigh Greenius get any more amazing??? It's like, just as I was thinking she couldn't become any more great, she makes that Eli cake. Incredible.
Secondly, how sad that I missed your festivities! Looked like another fantastic party. I hope to host a kegger in a couple weeks but it just won't be the same without all y'all. Snif!
And finally, J is a douchebag.
